About Rhino Trails Mountain Biking

Rhino Trails Mountain Biking is a community tourism based project started by local riders to create safe self guided riding routes for resident cyclists and those visiting the area. RTMB is self funding and relies on sponsorship from local businesses to maintain and build trails. Rhino Trails MTB also relies on donations from riders in the form of a permit fee to help with the maintenance of the trails that make our trails network possible. We employ previously disadvantaged people from surrounding communities to maintain our trails and thereby generate income for unemployed members of our community.

The onus is on visiting riders to use GARMIN or similar GPS devices to follow the routes as they are only marked at key points. It is very important that visitors and anyone unfamiliar with the trails to research the routes on the Trailforks website and upload the GPX files, print maps or use STRAVA to follow the routes.

We offer cyclists a host of options from endless gravel roads to technical singletrack. We offer a variety of options from getting in big mileage for a stage race, exploring with your family or ripping some rocks and roots on one of our forest trails. There is some remarkable scenery to enjoy so take a camera and remember to tag us  using our Instagram handle #rhinomtbtrails
